These reindeer celery snacks are so cute, easy, and fun to make for the holidays! The best part about these Christmas snacks is that they’re low in sugar, and totally healthy! Make them with the kids using simple ingredients you have at home, or serve at your holiday party!

For me, the holidays are always a time to get creative in the kitchen by putting a healthy spin on treats and sweets, while still making adorable and delicious recipes my family can’t resist!
My Grinch fruit kabobs are a big hit with my kids, as well as my Christmas tree veggie tray! By simply arranging the fruit and veggies in a fun and festive design, they suddenly become more appealing and appetizing to eat!
My oldest son is not a huge fan of celery, and I don’t push it with him. I totally get it! Celery was not my thing when I was his age either, but I always loved ants on a log (celery with peanut butter and raisins).
These Reindeer snacks are inspired by that classic, and I thought maybe he’d give one a try once he saw how cute these reindeer snacks came out.
Well, he ended up eating everything around the celery, but not the celery itself. Oh well! At least I tried! My youngest, however, gobbled them up!
Both boys had a blast making them with me, and wanted to do it again for our holiday Christmas party with our family. They are always so proud of their cooking creations!

How to Make Reindeer Celery Snacks – Step by Step
Step 1: Break pretzel twists in half to create the antlers.
Step 2: Cut celery into 3-4 inch sticks. Spread peanut butter in the center.
Step 3: Place broken pretzel twists on the top of the celery so that the circles are pointing towards the center. Gently press them into the peanut butter to make them stick.
Step 4: Place two candy eyes under the pretzel antlers, gently pressing them into the peanut butter so that they stick.
Step 5: Place raspberry at the bottom of the celery stick, gently pressing into the peanut butter to make it stick.
Top Tips for Making the Best Celery Snacks
- Breaking the pretzels in half is pretty tricky. It took me a few tries to get them to break in the right way. You may need a few extra pretzels to get the right break, and will end up with a few extra pretzel pieces.
- Use a thick rather than a runny peanut butter. It will help the pretzel antlers and eyes stick more easily.
- Sort through your celery sticks and find the ones with a larger open center so that you have more space to work with when attaching the antlers, eyes, and nose.
Variations
- Can’t have peanut butter? Try using hummus in the center instead! It will have a different flavor, but will still work well with the pretzels and celery. Another option is a to use a dairy-free chocolate spread, or a chocolate hummus!
- Can’t find raspberries? You can also use a red chocolate candy on the end to make the nose.
How to Serve
This simple recipe makes a great snack or appetizer. You can serve it at a holiday party, or just make it with the kids anytime they ask for a snack during the holidays! This would also make a fun activity to do in a classroom for a holiday party! I would suggest using a chocolate spread instead of peanut butter due to allergies.
How to Store and Keep
Store covered in the refrigerator until ready to serve. These will keep for 1-2 days in the refrigerator.
How do you make vegan candy eyes?
One easy method to make homemade vegan candy eyes is to use the cream from the center of an Oreo, and roll it to make small balls, then gently press a mini dairy free chocolate chip in the center.
