This Vegan Pumpkin Smoothie recipe is full of fall flavors. Smooth and creamy, it’s naturally sweetened with banana and full of warm pumpkin flavor.

This creamy tasty treat is perfect as an autumn snack or morning breakfast. Made with pumpkin puree, frozen banana, pumpkin spice, and plant milk, this vegan pumpkin pie smoothie is naturally sweet, thick, and creamy.
This easy recipe was inspired by my desire to create a healthy plant-based smoothie that was creamy, healthy, and kid-friendly for our annual Halloween party.
When I was doing some research looking for a cute and healthy orange recipe to go with our pumpkin theme I found many with artificial ingredients such as orange soda and orange sherbet.
I know my kids get enough artificial sugar on Halloween to last them the year, so piling on more in the form of a smoothie just doesn’t seem right.
The best part of this creamy smoothie recipe is that it’s not only delicious, but it’s full of whole food plant-based ingredients! Looking for more pumpkin recipes? Check out these 13 Sensational Vegan Pumpkin Recipes!

💭 Expert Tips
- Use unsweetened non-dairy milk to reduce sugar content

- If you like my spice increase the amount of pumpkin pie spice.
- Blend until ice cubes are completely incorporated.
- Serve immediately for the best taste and consistency.
📖 Variations and Substitutions
Add Fruit: If you like your smoothie a bit sweeter, add additional frozen fruit such as mango, or peaches. The smoothie will retain that bright pumpkin orange!
Don’t have almond milk? Any plant milk will work well in this smoothie. Some of your other options include soy, rice, cashew, oat, or coconut. If you choose coconut milk you’ll have higher fat content and a more rich and creamy texture.
Add Healthy Fats: Boost the nutritional value of this smoothie by adding some healthy fats such as a tablespoon of almond butter, hemp seeds, ground flaxseed, chia seeds, or vanilla protein powder.
❓ Recipe FAQS
Pumpkin is a nutrient-rich squash. Some of the health benefits of pumpkin include:
High in Vitamin A and C which boost your immune system
High antioxidant content which protects your cells from free radicals
Contains lutein which may protect your eyes.
Low in calories yet packed with nutrients.
High in fiber which improves heart health.
I recommend making it fresh and enjoying it immediately. However, you can make a large batch to serve at a party, or to reserve for your morning smoothie. It will last up to 3 days in the refrigerator when stored in an airtight container.
I added a touch of pumpkin spice to the top of my smoothie, but you can make it as decadent as you like! Add some coconut whipped cream and top with mini chocolate chips. Sprinkle with nutmeg, ginger, or cinnamon.
