What are pantry staples?
Pantry staples are food items that can be stored without refrigeration for an extended period of time.
They are items you can use often and in a variety of recipes. I’ve put together a printable Vegan Grocery List with Pantry Staples that you can take with you to the store to stock up on items you’ll find in these recipes.
However, you’ll likely find many of the ingredients for these recipes in your pantry already!
What if I don’t have all of the ingredients?
If you don’t have all of the ingredients a recipe calls for you can leave it out or make a simple substitution with something you have.
For example, if a recipe calls for white beans and you have chickpeas, go ahead and use the chickpeas instead. Or if a recipe calls for green pepper, and you don’t have that on hand, simply leave it out.
These recipes are versatile and will still turn out delicious even if you don’t have every single ingredient.
I encourage you to use what you already have, and not make a mad dash to the grocery store!
