Notes

Tips for Making Creamy Smoothies
  • Frozen fruit helps create a thicker, creamier texture. Bananas, mangoes, berries, and peaches work well.
  • For a richer texture, use a creamy base like yogurt (dairy or non-dairy) or coconut milk.
  • Add your liquid base first. This helps the blender blades to move freely and blend the ingredients smoothly.
  • Then add yogurt. This helps create a creamy texture and blend easily with the liquid.
  • Add the frozen fruit last. Placing it on top of the other ingredients helps it blend more easily, especially if your blender isn't very powerful.
Serving and Storage
  • Serve in a glass topped with a sprinkle of chia seeds for a beautiful finish.
  • Any leftovers can be stored covered in the fridge for up to one day. If you want to store the smoothie for longer, transfer the blend into ice cube trays in the freezer. Allow them to freeze, then pop the cubes out and store them in a freezer-safe bag. When you're ready to enjoy your smoothie, add the cubes back to your blender with a bit of liquid and blend until smooth.
