  • 2 whole star anise
  • 1 orange sliced
  • 4 oz spiced rum 1 oz per serving
  • apple slices for garnish

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the apple cider, cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise, and orange slices. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low. Let it gently simmer for 10–15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Once the cider is ready, remove it from heat. Add 1 oz of bourbon or spiced rum to each mug (adjust to your taste preference).
  • Ladle the hot spiced cider into the glass mugs. Garnish with apple slices or an extra cinnamon stick. Serve hot, and savor this cozy cocktail!
