Ingredients

  • 4 Granny Smith Apples Sliced, Cored, and Cut into Chunks
  • 2 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon vegan butter
  • 1 ½ teaspoon cinnamon sugar

Instructions

  • Cut and core the apples. If you prefer, remove the skin. Then chop the apples into equal size chunks. The best way to quickly slice apples is to use an apple corer!
  • Add the apples to a large bowl. Top with canola oil, cinnamon, and maple syrup. Toss to coat evenly on all sides of the apples.
  • Place the apples in your air fryer in a single layer. This allows the hot air to circulate and cook the apples evenly. Bake at 375 degrees F for a cook time of 12-15 minutes. Toss at the 6-minute mark.
  • Transfer the apples to a serving bowl, or individual bowls Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Top with homemade caramel sauce, vanilla ice cream, or whipped cream! Enjoy!

Notes

Tips for Making Air Fryer Apples
  • This will keep for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
  • Coat the air fryer in oil to keep the apples from sticking.
  • Don't use a non-stick cooking spray, as these tend to cause chipping inside your air fryer basket.
  • Don't overcrowd the basket. Place the apples in a single layer.
  • Toss the apples halfway through the cooking time so they are cooked evenly on all sides.
  • If you want a crispy apple, spray them with some oil halfway through. This will make them extra crispy!
  • Cut your apples into larger chunks.
