Mimosa Mocktail

What is more delicious for brunch than a sparkling citrus mimosa? How about a mimosa mocktail? This fabulously simple drink is garnished with fresh basil and can be enjoyed by everyone!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups soda water
  • 2 cups orange juice 4-8 oranges for freshly squeezed
  • orange slices for garnish
  • 4 fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  • Squeeze the juice of 4 -6 oranges using a citrus juicer. Or use 2 cups of orange juice.
  • Pour the sparkling water into champagne flutes halfway full. Pour orange juice to the top.
  • Garnish with fresh orange slices, and a basil leaf (optional).
  • To make for a crowd mix equal parts of chilled sparkling water, and orange juice in a pitcher. Pour into champagne flutes to serve.

Notes

Tips for Making Mimosa Mocktails
  • Use flavored sparkling water, tonic water, or Sprite if you prefer.
  • Try different juices such as grapefruit juice, or cranberry juice for a holiday twist.
  • Best made fresh. I do not recommend making it several hours in advance as the sparkling water will lose its fizz.
  • Make sure sparkling water and juice are chilled before preparing and serving.
