Ingredients

  • 10 mint leaves
  • 1 lime
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • ½ cup club soda
  • ice

Instructions

  • Place 10 large mint leaves at the bottom of a glass. Add the juice of half a lime, and the maple syrup. Muddle them together for about a minute. Muddling crushes the leaves and releases the flavor and oils of the mint.

Notes

  • Use fresh lime juice. Muddling the lime and mint together releases the oils and flavor of both the mint and lime, giving this drink a distinctly tart flavor.
  • If you do not have a muddling tool, use the back of a wooden spoon.
  • If you want to make this for a crowd no problem! Adjust the serving sizes, and use a large pitcher to muddle the lime and mint. Or you can do each individual glass, but that will take you some extra time, and if you're having a party, you want to enjoy your guests!
