Soy Milk Apple Cider Vinegar White Whole Wheat Flour Coconut Sugar Baking Soda Salt Raisins

Step 1

Combine soy milk with apple cider vinegar.  Set aside for 10 minutes.

Step 2

Whisk together the white whole wheat flour, baking soda, salt, and coconut sugar. Add the raisins. 

Step 3

Pour the buttermilk into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Gently fold the ingredients together until combined.

Step 4

Transfer the dough to a floured surface.  Work the dough into a ball. Knead the dough for about 30 seconds. Transfer the dough to a prepared baking pan.

Step 5

Score an X on the top of the dough with a sharp knife.  Bake for 45 minutes.

Step 6

Halfway through the cooking time place an aluminum foil tent on top to avoid the top from burning. Allow to cool before serving.
